Every time I hear somebody say there’s no difference between the two parties, I want to scream! The hell’s there’s not!!
And I’ll tell you one big difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans take pride in standing loyal to their team. Democrats take pleasure in stabbing their team members in the back.
Take the unholy trio of Corey Booker, Harold Ford, Jr., and Ed Rendell. All three love to get their faces on television. All three put themselves out there as spokesmen for the Democratic Party. All three allegedly support President Obama. And yet all three stabbed him in the back over Bain Capital.
Now, let’s acknowledge that all three have ties to Wall Street, so they’re not exactly without a conflict of interest on this issue.
Of course, they’re also dead wrong. Bain Capital is definitely fair game. If Romney brags about creating jobs at Bain Capital, Obama can tell the truth about how many jobs he destroyed.
But, worst of all, they’re traitors. They’re supposed to be out there, representing the party – and they’re the party’s worst enemies.
Democrats could learn something from Republicans: a little discipline – and a lot of loyalty.
That’s my parting shot for today.
