We all know Marco Rubio wants to be Mitt Romney’s vice-presidential running mate. He wants it real, real bad.
So bad, he’s almost begging for it. He’s written a book. He’s already traveled to Iowa. He’s given a major speech, pretending he knows something about foreign policy. And now he’s given another big speech, trying to prove he can be Mitt’s attack dog.
Speaking to the South Carolina Republican Party – that same bunch of yahoos who voted for Newt Gingrich – Rubio attacked President Obama as “the most divisive figure in modern American history.”
Oh, really? Does he really think Obama’s more divisive than George W. Bush, who took America to war in Iraq and split this nation right down the middle?
Does he think he’s more divisive than Rush Limbaugh, who spews forth racist, misogynist hatred every day?
And, by the way, Marco, mi amigo…Just what has Obama done that is so divisive? Saving the auto industry? Expanding health care to 36 million Americans? Creating 3 million new jobs? Ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell?
Of course, Marco doesn’t say. All he does is attack.
Marco Rubio: the latest leader of the Obama Hate Machine.
That’s my parting shot for today.
