I don’t know about you, but I’ve had it with Joe Lieberman.
How many times does he have to betray us before Senate Democrats take action?
He not only endorsed John McCain over Barack Obama, he campaigned all over the country with McCain and accused Obama of not being tough enough to be president.
And now, he says he will not only vote against health care reform, he will filibuster the bill so nobody else can vote on it, either – thereby killing the #1 priority of the President and the Democratic leadership in Congress.
Yet, he’s still welcomed as a member of the Senate Democratic Caucus. And he’s still Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
Why? Don’t Senate Democrats get it? Traitor Joe’s no friend, and never will be.
It’s way past time that the Senate Democratic Caucus expel Joe Lieberman and take away his chairmanship.
And, don’t worry, doing so will make no difference in the overall vote count. Democrats don’t have 60 votes in the Senate. They have 59. Lieberman always votes with the Republicans. So, he might as well sit on their side of the aisle, too. Their loss would be our gain.
That’s my parting shot for today.
