So long, it’s been good to know you.
Yes, this is it. As we know from Family Radio, this is our last day together.
And not just our last day together. This is everybody’s day together. Because, they tell us, the world’s going to end tomorrow, Saturday, May 21, at 6 p.m. no matter what time zone you’re in. Which isn’t fair. Why should Hawaiians have five more hours than we do on the East Coast? Just because Barack Obama was born there?
I don’t believe it. Not for a second. If there is a God, she’s never going to tell us exactly when the world will end. That’d take all the mystery out of it.
Family Radio’s just a bunch of religious hucksters, trying to make a buck out of suckers dumb enough to believe in the Rapture.
But there is a lesson we can all learn from this end-of-times warning. And it’s this…..
No matter how long we’re lucky enough to live, it’s never long enough. Life is too short. So we should live every day as if it’s our last – and enjoy the hell out of every minute of every day – starting this weekend!
That’s my parting shot for today.
