Remember, a few years ago, when the Bush administration was trying to sell our American ports to Dubai?
Well, they’re at it again – only much, much worse. This time, Bushies Karl Rove and Ed Gillespie, in league with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, are trying to sell the House and Senate to Bahrain, India, and other foreign countries.
The Chamber, in fact, is spending $75 million in political ads in this mid-terms elections – more than either the Republican National Committee or the Democratic National Committee.
Here’s the problem. The Chamber won’t say how much of that money is coming from foreign companies, owned by foreign governments. But we do know that the Chamber gets millions and millions of dollars from foreign companies every year – and that, this year, that foreign cash is going into the same pot of money from which the Chamber is paying for its campaign commercials, 95 of which are for Republican candidates.
Of course, it’s against the law for foreign companies to contribute to U.S. elections. So how do we know that Chamber’s not breaking the law?
We don’t! Because the Chamber refuses to disclose the names of its campaign contributors.
Isn’t it obvious? The Chamber is trying to steal this election with the help of illegal foreign dollars.
That’s my parting shot for today.
