Let us all now hail Alan Grayson of Florida.
He’s the only Democrat to fight back against Republican lies on health care.
They say “socialized medicine.” He says “Don’t get sick!”
They say “death panels.” He says “Die Quickly!”
Republicans claim Grayson’s as guilty as Joe Wilson. No way! There’s a big difference between calling the president “a liar” on the floor of the House – and simply telling the truth.
And Republicans want him to apologize? Forget it!
Did Republican Senator Tom Coburn apologize when he said Obama’s health care plan “will absolutely end up killing more people than it saves?
Did Republican Congresswoman Ginny Brown apologize when she said Democrats had released a bill “which essentially said to America’s seniors: Drop Dead?”
Hell, no. And Alan Grayson shouldn’t apologize, either.
Let’s face it. The only reason Republicans are so upset about Grayson’s remarks is because he told the truth: Republicans don’t want any health care reform. They don’t care about the millions of Americans who have no health insurance, because they can’t afford it.
Republicans have offered nothing on health care reform except the status quo: “Don’t get sick.”
