There they were: the seven dwarfs. On the stage last night in New Hampshire.
Republicans across the country were watching desperately, anxious to find the candidate who had at least a fighting chance to take on President Obama in 2012. But they didn’t find it.
Herman Cain looked like a fish out of water.
Ron Paul just repeated his usual rant about monetary policy.
Rick Santorum proved he can only talk about abortion.
Newt Gingrich tried to come back from the dead, but didn’t make it.
Michelle Bachmann showed her appeal is to tea partiers only.
Mitt Romney’s still trying to say Romneycare’s not the same as Obamacare.
And Tim Pawlenty blew his one opportunity to take on Romney and prove he was the more serious Republican candidate.
Bottom line: there was no winner. Only losers.
If they want to have a serious chance in 2012, Republicans had better keep on looking!
That’s my parting shot for today.
